5/4 Friday- Lyerly - work on revisions & begin final
5/7 Monday- Lyerly - conferences & final draft
5/8 Tuesday- Garns - proper formatting & MLA and writing;
5/9 Wednesday- Lyerly WALK INTO ROOM with essay submitted on google.classroom; hard copy for garns; practice presentations

WEEK 26: Civil War Test W 2/7/18.  Study Guide here.

WEEK 25: Civil War Figures research project (see Google Classroom) Due W 1/31/18.  Students will present on Wednesday.

WEEK 22: Students read their assigned state's Ordinance of Secession and answer the questions on the question sheet.  Due F 1/19/18.

​

WEEK 21: Students must complete a brief presentation (less than 5 minutes), summarizing the event they have been assigned and how it lead to the Civil War.  Student topic assignments can be found here.  Presenting W 1/10/18.

FALA Finals Schedule

FALA will hold finals Monday-Thursday December 11-14th (mornings only) from 8:45-11:40. The afternoons will be reserved for make-up test and studying for the next final. 

 

Friday will be a special conference style advisory held from 8:45-11:40. Students will be able to select workshops that help build resilience.

CLASS DESCRIPTION:

The 7th Grade Social Studies Curriculum focuses on formulating questions, evaluating and analyzing primary and secondary sources, and forming a well-supported thesis.  Topics of in-depth study will include Colonial America, the Revolutionary War, the Constitutional Convention, The Industrial Revolution, Presidential Elections, The Branches of Government, Labor Movements, Economic Theories, Constitutional Rights and Controversies, Map Skills, Current Events, and a research project of their choosing.
